On November 21, 2024, the 15th meeting of the Interstate Technical Committee for Standardization (ISTC) 517 "Technologies of Automatic Identification and Data Collection" was held via videoconference, bringing together full members and observers of ISTC 517.
Aykamar Malikgulyyeva, the authorized representative of the member of ISTC 517 from the national standardization body of Turkmenistan, Chairman of the National Turkmen Barcode Organization, and Chairman of TC TM 08, participated in the online meeting.
Before the start of the meeting, the chairman of ISTC 517, G.K. Nasonov, addressed the participants of the 15th meeting of ISTC 517 with a welcoming speech.
Then, in accordance with the agenda of the meeting, A.E. Leandrov, Deputy Chairman of ISTC 517, provided general information on the composition and work of ISTC 517 from November 23, 2023, to November 21, 2024.
During the meeting, information was heard on the status of work on international and interstate standardization in the field of automatic identification and data collection technologies and on the work program of ISTC 517 for 2025-2026. The agenda also included a discussion of the prospective work program of ISTC 517 for 2025-2027.
The meeting also considered issues of amending the Interstate Standardization Program for ISTC 517 for 2025-2026, cooperation between national technical committees for standardization and national GS1 organizations.
The focus was on the interaction between ISTC 517 and ISTC 561 "Means and methods of combating counterfeiting and counterfeit goods".
In turn, members and observers of ISTC 517 informed about the status of standardization work in the field of automatic identification and data collection technologies in the member countries of the organization.
Following the meeting, an appropriate Resolution was adopted.
